Niger, West Africa: Fulani People Group

Harmony Hill is obeying Christ’s call by adopting the Western Fulani, an unreached people group in West Africa. Of approximately 700,000 Fulani nationals, less than 50 have accepted Christ. Historically the largest nomadic people group in the world, the Fulani live mostly outside the capital city of Niger. They pride themselves on being the torchbearers of Islam throughout Africa, and are today more than 99% Muslim. Niger is hot and undeveloped, making it difficult on volunteers. Fulani believers are often isolated and suffer discouragement, persecution, and lack of training—making our ongoing relationship with them critical.
