How can we know that the faith we have will get us to heaven? The identifying mark of true faith is perseverance. Saving faith is a gift from God, is permanent, and is obedient. Once saved, always saved does not mean we live however we want. If a person “loses” his salvation and does not continue walking in faith, he never had it to begin with.
