Our Truth Foundations are core Christian doctrines made easy for your child to remember and understand. The Truth Foundations vary slightly based on developmental stage, but all convey the same idea. They are tied to each lesson taught throughout family ministries and repeated weekly for your kids to learn.

At Harmony Hill we use THE GOSPEL PROJECT for KIDS curriculum that immerses children and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately the Gospel Message changes everything, especially the heart. The Gospel Project does not just present a collection of stories but lets children understand that the Bible is one unified story of God’s redemption.

Basic principles your child will learn at each age level:

Preschool – God is good. God created everything. God shows love. God created the world. God plans for me to obey my parents. God loves families. God sent Jesus to earth. Jesus is God’s Son.

Kindergarten – God created everything. God is always with me. God always keeps His promises. God shows His love to all people. God is real. God wants me to pray. God has a plan for me. My choices can make me happy or sad. Church is a part of God’s plan. At church we pray, sing, read the Bible, and listen to preaching/teaching.

1st & 2nd grade – God is everywhere. God hears and answers prayer. God loves and forgives people. God is powerful. God knows everything. God is real, the only true God. God wants me to pray and read the Bible. I can choose to please and honor God. I can say “no” to what I know is wrong. People worship at church. The Lord’s Supper and baptism are special events that are observed at church.

3rd & 4th grade – God is unique. God provided forgiveness of sin. God is almighty. God is all-knowing. God is faithful and just. I am created in the image of God. I can love others and love myself. I can learn to recognize God’s authority. I can follow examples, teachings, and commandments of Jesus.  God uses the church to accomplish His purposes in the world. People have a responsibility to worship, pray, tithe and help in the church. The Lord’s Supper and Baptism are “ordinances” of the church in which believers participate with the church.

5th grade – God is omnipresent. God’s love is not limited by time, space or culture. God wants me to worship Him. God is righteous. God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God can help me know and use my spiritual gifts. I am accountable to God. I can acknowledge God’s authority in my life. My body is God’s temple. I can take deliberate actions to ask for forgiveness and restore relationships.
